Los gremios en España, siglos XIII-XIX

Abstract

El tema y título elegido para el presente trabajo Los gremios en España. Siglos XIII-XIX muestra la intención de explicar el desarrollo de los gremios y corporaciones laborales en la España de las épocas medieval y moderna. Haciendo un análisis desde su auge en las últimas décadas del siglo XV hasta su decadencia consecuencia de la crisis del siglo XVII y su posterior resurgimiento en el siglo XVIII. En el caso concreto de España los gremios desparecen como institución con la supresión del Antiguo Régimen en el año 1836. Para llegar a la conclusión de cómo se produjo la transición entre corporación y gremio, realizo un análisis exhaustivo de las principales ordenanzas gremiales redactadas desde finales del siglo XV. No obstante, hay que precisar que no se pueden extrapolar los resultados obtenidos para un gremio o corporación en un lugar y tiempo determinados a otros totalmente distintos.
