LES NORMES COMPTABLES INTERNATIONALES : FACTEUR DE DÉVELOPPEMENT ÉCONOMIQUE, EFFET DE MODE, OU « CHEVAL DE TROIE » ? APPLICATION AUX PAYS DE L’OHADA

Abstract

A draft « proofreading » of the OHADA accounting system- the SYSCOHADA- is on the agenda. Accounting standards, called international, tending to impose, countries are faced with the alternative : a fad, or vielding to pressure from international donors, to adopt these standards (choice of full-IFRS), or consider the needs of users and establish a system adapted to the context. The problem is acute in most countries, particularly in developing countries which user needs are specific.
