Las instituciones de educación superior privada localizadas en el corredor Ecatepec-Coacalco como generadoras de centralidad urbana

Abstract

La expansión y proliferación de las Instituciones de Educación Superior Privada en la ZMVM se ha convertido en un fenómeno que actualmente no sólo preocupa a especialistas en educación, sino también ha despertado el interés de algunos urbanistas, ya que ahora dichas instituciones se localizan en lugares alejados del centro, ejemplo de ello son las IES Privadas localizadas en el corredor urbano Ecatepec – Coacalco, al norte de la ciudad; aquí las IES Privadas además de ofrecer un servicio educativo, también se han convertido en parte importante para la constitución de nuevas centralidades, pues su ubicación las coloca en áreas donde conviven con servicios y comercio de diverso rubro, rutas de transporte accesibles y población en edad de ir a la universidad.
