Modified rectus fascial suburethral sling.

Abstract

Pubovaginal slings are being used more frequently for complicated stress urinary incontinence (SUI) secondary to impairment of the proximal sphincteric mechanism. The excellent long-term results of the sling surgery expands its role in genuine stress incontinence, especially high-risk groups. The modification described herein simplifies the surgery and avoids many of its potential complications, meanwhile maintains a high success rate.
