
Two cases of a heavy hypovitaminosis A (tumor of the pancreas and an insufficient resorption accompanying the syndrome of a short intestine) are presented. The eye symptomatology consisted of lowered dark-adaption curve, absent electrical reactivity and lowered contrast sensitivity. After restoring the normal vitamin A level in the blood the eye symptoms vanished.
