This paper analyzes the radioisotopic methods allowing the estimation of renal function. The advantages and the drawbacks of the method are presented, as well as the specific characteristics related to the child. Finally, these methods, and particularly those related to the measurement of glomerular filtration, are integrated in a comprehensive approach of the paediatric examinations.
