Report of an ovotestis with carcinoma of the cervix.

Abstract

A case of true hermaphrodite with left unilated ovotestis was reported in a 37-year-old Thai male. Bilateral gynaecomastia, under and maldevelopment of external genitalia were present with infertility. Chromosome study was not available. Pathological examination of resected specimens showed evidence of ovarian and testicular tissue. Stratified squamous epithelium with an area of squamous cell carcinoma was noticed. Diagnosis of ovotestis with carcinoma of the cervix was suggested.
