The author suggested a solution for preservation of the liver. The specific feature of the solution is that it contains special substances of carbohydrate and protein nature which, requiring no complicated metabolic transformations, can easily be involved in the liver metabolism during the period of its preservation. Observations have demonstrated that the preserving substance suggested by the author is much better than analogous solutions employed in control experiments.
