
Many of the ocular injuries could be prevented by simple measures: in industry by wearing protection for the eyes, in road traffic accidents by wearing seat belts, and in sport by wearing protective clothing. From this article it is apparent that the surgical approach to many cases of trauma has changed within the last few years and the results have improved quite considerably.
