
Diseases of the ear, nose, and throat which produce erosion of the petrous temporal bone, are rare. A classification of such lesions is proposed, and the incidence and aetiology of these lesions in South African Blacks is discussed.S. Afr. Med. J., 48, 1799 (1974).
