
To assess the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum fungicidal concentration (MFC) of itraconazole (ITCZ), terbinafine (TBF), and miconazole (MCZ) in eight isolates of Microsporum canis. The MICs in the eight tested strains were 32 mg/L for ITCZ, and 16 to > 32 mg/L for MCZ. These results suggested that there were strains with MFC concentrations much higher than the MIC concentrations, indicating fungistatic activity.
