Abstract

Person-centered care (PCC) is transforming the approach to geriatric care. Based on empathy and respect, it places individual dignity at the heart of care practices. This practice goes beyond the traditional biomedical vision to value the autonomy and choices of each old person. What is CPS? What are the key elements? And how can they be a concrete vehicle for empathy in care?
