Results from female patients suffering from temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain syndrome show that the majority of them also suffer from pain in other regions of the body. Temporomandibular joint disease represents a part of a "general myalgia syndrome" or of rheumatism of the soft tissues. The severity of the disease depends upon individual personality and conditions of life.
