Abstract

Defecation disorders. Defecation disorders comprising outlet constipation are frequent and impact on the quality of life of patients. Outlet constipation is often associated with slow transit constipation. Etiology of outlet constipation are usually divided into two groups: the functional disorders represented mainly by the anisme and the pelvic floor disorders. After removing an organic cause, the management should take into account the clinical data. The anomalies of complementary investigations need to be correlated with the symptoms of the patient. Medical treatment and biofeedback reeducation should be offered in first line. If surgery is needed, preliminary complete evaluation is needed.
