Abstract

Occupational burnout corresponds to a state of thymic frailty linked to the work environment. It concerns all types of occupations but was initially associated with the caring professions (social, medical, etc.). Burnout is particularly prevalent in the geriatric sector where the caregiver's personal investment and confrontation with death are considerable.
