In brief Little League shoulder is an overuse injury that affects the proximal humeral physis of young pitchers and other overhand athletes like swimmers. Athletes suffering from Little League shoulder usually have pain brought on by repetitive overhand motion and not acute trauma. Findings on physical examination may be limited, but the pathognomonic radiographic finding is widening of the proximal humeral physis. Rest is the keystone of treatment.
