Abstract

The stated purpose of the HS/G series is to provide 'guidance for people who have duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc... Act 1974 and other existent legislation'. Whilst this publication - a replacement for Lighting in Offices, Shops and Railway Premises HSW39 - does not claim to be an authoritative interpretation of the law, it does not fail in its stated purpose.
