The intestines of 150 grey quails (Coturnix coturnix) were examined at postmortem, for tapeworms infestation. Two species of cestodes were collected Raillietina echinobothrida and Choanotaenia infundibulum. The prevalence, average number of worms per bird and their morphology were reported. Its worth to mention that quail was found to be a new host for R. echinobothrida.
