
This review analyzes in the periodontal regeneration, main objective of the periodontal therapy, the effects of the mechanical and surgical procedures, the results of the conditioning radicular agents and of the biochemical mediators and, at last, the consequences of the exclusion of the gingival epithelium in the "guided tissue regeneration".
