In this study, urine-isolated microorganisms from urinary tract infections were generally evaluated, and among these microorganisms, 407 E. coli strains have been researched if they are uropathogenic E. coli (UPEC) by testing for the pilus formation and the hydrophobicity. We observed that 266 of the 407 E. coli strains have produced various types of pilus, and 250 of them have hydrophobic characteristics.
