Prosthetic rehabilitation of a hemimandibulectomy patient.

Abstract

This report presents a case in which a patient was treated with a segmental hemimandibulectomy to improve function and esthetics. Crowns were placed on the remaining teeth and the remaining space was rehabilitated with an acrylic partial denture in the maxillary arch and a cast partial denture in the mandibular arch. The treatment and rehabilitation of a patient with a resected mandible involves taking full advantage of all remaining structures.
