Economía de la empresa y de las organizaciones

Abstract

En este capítulo, se exploran las contribuciones clave en el campo de la economía de las organizaciones que han utilizado como herramientas las metodologías propias de la economía experimental, prestando especial atención a la investigación sobre el tema en España. Las organizaciones representan formas de coordinar la acción colectiva a través de estructuras jerárquicas, es decir, una coordinación diferente de la de mercado. Estas entidades, compuestas por individuos que deben realizar tareas con objetivos no siempre alineados, deben resolver, entre otros, estos dos desafíos: cómo proporcionar incentivos efectivos, tanto individuales como en grupo, para alinear los intereses de los diferentes agentes que conforman la organización, así como coordinar las diferentes actividades que se realizan en ella. En este sentido, el capítulo presenta los principales juegos utilizados en la literatura experimental para abordar los problemas organizativos y, posteriormente, presenta los resultados clave obtenidos por investigadores españoles. Específicamente, se investiga el impacto de los incentivos, tanto financieros como no financieros, y se exploran alternativas como el liderazgo, además de analizar los mecanismos contractuales y de autoridad para mejorar la coordinación interna.
