Don Quijote de la Mancha es un canto histórico a la libertad, una apología de la igualdad y a la dignidad humana. Cervantes, hijo de la modernidad, se sirvió del caballero andante para defender una concepción del mundo radicalmente distinta a la vigente en aquel momento. Su inconformismo y optimismo vital le permite pensar que a pesar de todas las adversidades e infortunios padecidos, la justicia es posible. De ahí su crítica acerada a la organización del poder político y a la estructura de la sociedad estamental, denunciando de forma satírica sus privilegios.

Cervantes, son of modernity, used the figure of the errant knight to defend a conception of the world radically different from the common at that time. His non-conformity and vital optimism allows him to think that despite all the adversities and misfortunes suffered, justice is possible. Hence his sharp criticism of the organization of political power and the structure of the statist society, denouncing its privileges satirically.
