Abstract

Este libro reúne distintas investigaciones etnográficas sobre nuevas formas y vínculos de parentesco en la Ciudad de México del siglo XXI. En este escenario multicultural, entre los años 2006 y 2012, se producen importantes cambios legislativos que permiten reconocer distintos procesos de creación y reinvención de la familia: el matrimonio entre personas del mismo sexo, el divorcio exprés, las posibilidades de adopción (plena, internacional, homoparental e intrafamiliar en familias recompuestas) y la interrupción legal del embarazo (ILE), en las primeras 12 semanas de gestación. Además, se proponen modificaciones a la ley de Salud para técnicas de reproducción asistida (TRA) y se promueve una ley de maternidad subrogada (MS), aún en debate. En esta obra colectiva se presentan los resultados de un conjunto de investigaciones enmarcadas en el Proyecto “Parentesco, cuerpo y reproducción. Representaciones y contenidos culturales en el contexto mexicano contemporáneo” (Conacyt 56385), coordinado por la antropóloga María Eugenia Olavarría. Los ejes temáticos que guiaron este trabajo se relacionan con la alianza, la búsqueda (o no) de descendencia, los lazos de filiación y el tabú del incesto.
