Abstract

[cat] L’objectiu d’aquest treball d’investigació és recuperar un capítol essencial de la fotografia de l’esport de la boxa a Catalunya i entrellaçar-lo amb la contemporaneïtat a través d’un seguit de projectes d’uns autors determinats i de la meva obra personal com a artista. De fet, el títol de la tesi prové en part d’un dels projectes fotogràfics on vaig plantejar-me una mirada personal a l’entorn del que considero essencial i autèntic, vertader, d’aquest esport que tan m’havia captivat. Per altra part, la recerca i la investigació de seguida van revelar un món per redescobrir i en part ben desconegut. Treure de l’oblit la història de la boxa catalana i les imatges que ens la il.lustren, la importància que va tenir dins la nostra societat i l’actualització de la memòria de les persones que van viure-ho, han contribuït a fer possible aquest treball, que és també un reconeixement i un petit homenatge. En quant a l’estructura de la tesi, aquesta es divideix en tres parts. El primer bloc (“Origen, Evolució i Document 1876-1936”), està format per tres capítols. El primer repassa l’evolució històrica entre societat, esport i fotografia des de finals del segle XIX fins a la Guerra Civil, el segon presenta i aprofundeix cronològicament en els grans esdeveniments de la boxa a Barcelona i el llegat fotogràfic dels pioners del fotoperiodisme esportiu, i el tercer realitza una introducció panoràmica a la premsa esportiva esportiva catalana, amb una especial atenció a la vinculada als esdeveniments i la pràctica boxística. Al segon bloc (“Document, Art i Mirada 1916-2012”) es relacionen transversalment els diferents conceptes exposats en el primer bloc, per explicar que han actuat com a suport dels posteriors treballs vinculats a la boxa. Un tercer bloc inclou les conclusions finals de la investigació, una Cronologia comparativa i uns annexos, on es presenta una acurada selecció d’imatges pertanyent als articles consultats i a la col.lecció privada.
