Abstract

Objetivos: Conocer las desviaciones de la duración en días de baja de nuestros casos respecto a las duraciones estándar establecidas en el manual de gestión de incapacidad temporal del INSALUD. Conocer las implicaciones en el coste económico debidas al exceso de duración media de los casos. Material y métodos: la población diana comprende todos los pacientes en situación de incapacidad temporal diagnosticados de Diabetes Mellitus durante el año 2003, en todo el ámbito ASEPEYO. Se trata de un estudio descriptivo retrospectivo en el que se han analizado 188 historias clínico-laborales obtenidas de la aplicación informática de ASEPEYO. Los parámetros recogidos fueron: nombre y apellidos del paciente, edad, sexo, profesión, profesión de riesgo, duración de la incapacidad temporal, adecuada duración de la incapacidad temporal. Resultados: la duración en días de nuestros casos de los diagnósticos recogidos en el Manual del INSALUD son: DM inestable 144.66, neuropatía 271.91, pie grado 1 115, pie grado 2 113.60, pie grado 3 215.50, pie grado 5 210 y de reciente diagnostico 138.83. Conclusiones: sólo el 16,49% de nuestros casos se ajustan a las duraciones indicadas en el Manual del INSALUD. El exceso de duración de los casos implicó un coste económico de 397.314 euros.
