Abstract

El juliol passat, diversos membres de l'Observatori de l'Estudiant, estudiants de diferents graus i màsters de la Universitat de Barcelona, varen constituir el Grup de Treball d'Educació i Pobresa amb l’objectiu d’estudiar l’impacte de la pobresa sobre l’educació. Varen optar per centrar-se en l’efecte de la pobresa sobre l’educació superior, que és l’etapa de l’educació en la qual es trobem i sobre la qual poden aportar un valor afegit pel fet de ser-ne protagonistes. Per poder abordar l’estudi de manera encara més acotada, varen decidir estudiar l’impacte de la pobresa sobre dos moments que consideren clau en l’educació superior: l'accés a l'educació superior i el l’adaptació durant el primer any. No obstant això, oferiran també un breu repàs de les dinàmiques que ocorren en etapes educatives anteriors, que no poden obviar pel gran pes que tenen en la discriminació dels més desfavorits quant a l’accés a l’educació superior.
