Perfil de la mortalidad en Argentina durante la crisis económica de 2001. El rol de los determinantes psicosociales en la salud de las personas.

Abstract

Durante los años 2001 y 2002, y después de tres años de recesión ininterrumpida, Argentina se encontraba sumida en una profunda crisis económica, financiera, social y política. En este período la tasa de mortalidad por 100.000 habitantes en varones de 30 a 34 años pasó de 182,6 en el año 2000 a 190,9 en el año 2002. Estas variaciones en las tasas de mortalidad parecen observarse en las enfermedades cardiovasculares, enfermedades del sistema respiratorio y causas externas. En este sentido, el objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las posibles transformaciones de las tendencias en la mortalidad del país y determinar si dichos cambios suponen un punto de inflexión en la tendencia previa o si, por el contrario, los cambios observados no son significativos a nivel general. Para la realización de este trabajo se ha recurrido fundamentalmente al análisis de fuentes secundarias, estadísticas correspondientes a indicadores sanitarios, sociales y económicos de Argentina. El principal indicador utilizado es la tasa de mortalidad, aunque no se ha podido acceder a datos estadísticos de mortalidad estandarizados por edad para cada causa de muerte. La complejidad de esta situación dificulta la formulación de un análisis más exhaustivo y estrategias más exactas en relación al objeto de estudio...
