Abstract

En los últimos años, los avances tecnológicos, tanto en adquisición como en postprocesado de imágenes médicas, han sido muy numerosos. Esto implica que actualmente las imágenes del interior del cuerpo se guarden en formato digital y que se utilice la ayuda de herramientas computacionales para facilitar tanto la visualización como la interpretación de la información que éstas brindan. Actualmente existen dos modalidades de imágenes disponibles: anatómicas y funcionales. En este trabajo de fin de grado utilizaremos las imágenes anatómicas obtenidas por ultrasonidos. Concretamente trabajaremos sobre imágenes imágenes de ultrasonido intravascular (IVUS) que nos ofrecen la morfología de las estructuras vasculares. Nuestra intención es la de facilitar la tarea a los especialistas creando una herramienta fácil y rápida de utilizar para analizar la morfología de los vasos coronarios y escoger y aplicar la terapia más relevante.
