The Insectivores and Rodents from three localities in the Seu d'Urgell basin are described in this paper. Two of these localities (Ballestar and Can Pati) aontain an early Vallesian microfauna with Cricetulodon hartenbergeri, Muscardinus crusafonti, Myoglis meini, etc. The other locality (La Bastida, in the Piedra Formation) contains an upper Vallesian microfauna, in wich Progonomys cathalai is the predominant rodent. Analysis of this fauna modifies the stratigraphic schem of the basin since the piedra Formation was thought to be pider than the Ballestar Formation. A Short sedimentological description of the two Formations is given
