Trade between roman eastem and westem provinces during the empire era has been underestimates for a long time so we want in this article to highlight its existence. Puteoli and Alexandria were the main harbours involved in this kind of long-distance trade and eastern desert of Egypt and the Red Sea were one of the areas of consumption.
