Movilidades desbordadas: Límites y futuros de las nuevas movilidades urbanas

Abstract

En las últimas décadas, las ciudades han experimentado una proliferación de planes de movilidad e infraestructuras de transporte, buscando no solo mejorar la circulación con nuevas vías y vehículos, sino también modelar nuevos tipos de ciudades y ciudadanos, e incluso generar futuros distintos. Estos planes, que oscilan entre el fomento del automóvil y la movilidad sostenible, han sido objeto de creciente atención antropológica, revelando cómo los sistemas de desplazamiento urbano articulan narrativas de globalización y progreso, al tiempo que se materializan en contextos específicos. Una antropología de las movilidades urbanas permite conectar infraestructuras, instituciones y planificaciones con las realidades materiales y sociales, abarcando desde la subjetividad hasta el capitalismo global y las condiciones cotidianas.
