[eng] The present work aims to provide a state of the issue on how historiography has approached the study of women in the rural Catalan work of the 19th century. It will emphasize how some authors have analyzed their situation within the heir inheritance system, the world of marriage (marriage contracts and dowries), and the context of female labor, both within country houses and in the industrial world. The way in which some historians have written popular works on this subject will also be discussed.
