Intel·ligència artificial i accessibilitat

Abstract

[en] This bachelor's thesis explores the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance accessibility for individuals with special needs. It is divided into two main sections: a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical section reviews accessibility concepts and some existing applications of AI in this field, identifying both advantages and disadvantages. In the practical section, two web applications are developed: one for text simplification, aimed at aiding comprehension for individuals with cognitive difficulties, and another for creating personalized social stories, which assist people with autism spectrum disorders in navigating complex social situations. These applications will demonstrate how AI can be a valuable tool for improving accessibility and inclusion.
