Abstract

[eng] The High School- Primary School, created in Madrid a century ago, was born with the aim of solving the existing problems, at that time, with the Secondary Education (nowadays known as Compulsory Secondary Education and Pre-university Education). It was criticized by the most classist and traditional classes at a social and educational level, and was based on the European renewal movements of the time, giving priority to the natural evolution of the student, a predominantly practical pedagogical model, with no memorization, and a qualitative and formative evaluation. It was abolished by the coup plotters of 1936, this project was called to be the seed of the renovation that the Spanish Secondary Education needed, and by extension, the rest of the educational system. The methodological continuity in its teachings, the availability of a stable curriculum, as well as the good results obtained, allow it to transfer in time, and in the geographical context, this idea of the model and to apply it in the Valencian rural environment. That is the reason why this paper proposes to develop this pedagogical model in what I have called the High School - Rural Primary School of the Valencian Country.
