La omnipresencia de la imagen en Kafka. El imaginario visual como vehículo para la creación literaria

Abstract

El presente estudio pretende ser un punto de partida para una investigación al respecto de la base visual con la que contaba Franz Kafka. Por ello se recogen todas aquellas fuentes que, a modo de estado de la cuestión, consideramos que son esenciales para tal propósito. Podemos dividir el trabajo en tres apartados: el primero de ellos, indaga en el grado de conocimiento que pudo tener Kafka de la historia del arte; el segundo, se centra en la vertiente gráfica del artista, y defiende que el autor acarreó el deseo frustrado de no poder haber sido ilustrador; por último, en el apartado sobre fotografía, se aportan un número relevante de evidencias que reafirman el pensamiento “en imágenes” del praguense.
