Esto quiere decir que sentimos hambre cuando llevamos mucho tiempo sin comer y viceversa. La estructura que lleva a cabo este control homeostático del apetito se encuentra en el hipotálamo. Aunque pequeña, se trata de una región del centro del cerebro que desempeña un importante papel en nuestro organismo.
