Abstract

(eng) Professions are key in our “day to day” life. They born, grow up, they consolidate, compete, divide and die. Each profession is unique in its historical life and we have to understand it in relation to other professions, and in the context that they appear. Coaching appears in the transition to a postmodern society, like many other professions. It is a key profession that is related to the management of anxiety, the sensation of risk, ultimately, the disease of the postmodern citizen. "Coaching" is an emerging profession, and as such, it is necessary to study the process by which it ends up consolidating in a specific jurisdiction or not. The way in which "coaches" articulate their business discourse is key to understanding this process, since, not being a regulated profession, there is no system of regulated accreditations. Therefore the way in which the coach articulates his speech justifying his "professional" position is key. In this research is exposed the great importance of how this speech is made and how it is extremely related to the vital and work experiences of the "coach". As well as being able to capture also the main risk factors that characterizes postmodern society and liquid modernity.
