Abstract

[eng] Studies about foreign language teacher’s beliefs have proven helpful to find teacher’s training needs, know how they manage their classes, and check whether or not their beliefs are present in their lessons. The following study explores the beliefs teachers have about the idea of culture and the way they approach the sociocultural elements in the classroom. The research takes place at the International School of Geneva and focuses on the beliefs of two Spanish teachers. After analysing the collected data, results show that both teachers approach the concept of culture likewise and that their method is allied with the international teaching model of the school.
