Abstract

[spa] Ext-.

[eng] Ext.- Microstories of embodied cultural otherness is a project constituted of a series of interdisciplinary works in which I explore the issues on the perceptions of cultural otherness in the contemporary context of Barcelona. I debate the construction of identity, shaped by the reception of the autochthonous glance given to the outsider and the media representation of what’s consider exotic. The project contains a series of six interventions starting with a historical approach to get to a much more personal and autobiographic stage, constantly demanding the spectator to get involved as an active agent in the display of every piece.
