We consider the confined hydrogen atom (CHA) in position and momentum space. To this end, we calculate numerically the wavefunctions and energies for various confinement radii and quantum numbers. We show breaking of degeneracy in CHA for n states. In the limit of an infinite confinement radii the well-known results for the non-confined hydrogen atom are recovered. In addition, the static polarizability and pressure are obtained.
