Relació entre el calçat i les lesions de turmell en el bàsquet

Abstract

Introducció: L’esquinç de turmell és la lesió més freqüent en el bàsquet, ja que es un esport de molts canvis de ritme. Actualment hi ha una gran varietat de models de calçat que busquen oferir durabilitat, suport, estabilitat i absorció d’impactes. Aquest estudi pretén establir una relació entre els diferents tipus de calçat i les lesions de turmell. Material i mètodes: Es realitza una enquesta a una mostra de 43 jugadors de bàsquet del Bàsquet Pallejà i del Bàsquet Club Sant Joan Despí de diferents edats i categories en la que es pregunta sobre el calçat que porten i les lesions que han patit. També es realitza una cerca bibliogràfica a la base de dades PubMed. Resultats: De la mostra de jugadors enquestada un 65% havien patit lesions de turmell. Es produeixen més lesions portant calçat de canya alta, tot i que amb calçat de canya baixa es produeixen més lesions de segon i tercer grau. Conclusions: L’alçada de la canya i els diferents tipus de sistemes d’esmorteïment podrien influir en les lesions de turmell, tot i que hi ha discrepància entre autors. No es recomanable fer servir sabatilles de canya alta i rígida ja que afecten la propiocepció. En cas de portar canya baixa es recomana realitzar exercicis de propiocepció.
