Tècnica manipulativa osteopàtica com a tractament del turmell inestable

Abstract

Introducció: L’esquinç de turmell crònic (ETC) o turmell inestable és una complicació del esquinç lateral de turmell (ELT). Es pot produir per diverses causes, per un dèficit propioceptiu, per una restricció del rang de moviment de l’articulació del turmell o altres. La manipulació manual és un tractament osteopàtic objectiu del qual és alliberar adherències, restaurar la funció articular, normalitzar el sistema vascular i provocar un reflex aferent. Objectius: 1) Analitzar l’eficàcia de la tècnica manipulativa pel tractament del turmell inestable. 2) Exposar l’exploració a fer i el diagnòstic d’alteracions susceptibles al tractament osteopàtic del peu relacionades amb l’esquinç crònic de turmell. Material i mètodes: La cerca bibliogràfica es va efectuar en les bases de dades PubMed i Scopus durant els mesos de novembre 2016 i l’abril del 2017. Resultats: S’han obtingut un total de nou assajos clínics aleatoritzats per a la realització de la revisió bibliogràfica. Conclusions: L’anàlisi dels estudis indiquen que la tècnica manipulativa osteopàtica desencadena beneficis en relació a les complicacions de l’esquinç de turmell. El rang de moviment del turmell és un paràmetre a tenir en consideració en el tractament del l’ETC ja que és un dels factors agreujantsd’aquesta patologia.
