Issues about housing are generally analysed from an objective point of view, this is, from the quantifiable materiality that allows an interpretation of the these complex processes of production. However, this supposedly objective perspective gives rise to paradoxical discourses and practices with perverse effects. Thus, the assessment of the market dynamics are not enough to explain the rising of prices nor the increasing of housing shortages nor the growing insolvent demand. Public housing policies only face some fringes of the involsvent demand and, in that way, they are contributing to the growing of this kind of demand.

La temática de la vivienda se despliega generalmente desde el punto de vista objetivo, desde la materialidad quantificable que permite una aproximación e interpretación de los complejos procesos de producción, sin embargo esta objetividad da lugar a menudo a discursos paradójicos y a prácticas con efectos perversos. Así, la valoración de las dinámicas del mercado no explican el aumento de precios, ni el incremento de los déficits o de la demanda insolvente. Las políticas de vivienda pública al tratar tan sólo alguna franjas de la demanda insolvente retroalimentan este tipo de demanda.
