Abstract

The area of the administrative province of Parma (Italy) is fully, at least in its plan and hilly portions, included in the frame of Terramare culture: something changes moving upward in the Appennines. In a PhD research recently carried out, chronology and cultural definition of the 31 known sites for that area has been revised and a gradual northwise throwback of Terramare culture and consequently an advancement of Western Culture sites has been suggested.
