Isolamento di Actinobacillus lignieresii da ascessi superficiali in un allevamento di capre sarde

Abstract

Nell’allevamento caprino, oggetto del presente lavoro, abbiamo potuto osservare una patologia le cui caratteristiche cliniche non risultavano perfettamente assimilabili ad alcuno dei classici microrganismi determinanti forme ascessuali superficiali presenti in questa specie (Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis o Staphylococcus aureus subsp. anaerobius,). Le caratteristiche del pus, che appariva di colorito bianco giallastro, inodore, viscoso, e soprattutto la presenza di granuli nello stesso, ci indirizzava verso patologie sostenute da microrganismi appartenenti ai generi Actinomyces e Actinobacillus. Al fine di determinare l’agente eziologico della patologia, sono stati effettuati diversi prelievi di materiale purulento dagli ascessi di 4 capre, a vario stadio di maturazione, per valutarne le caratteristiche fisiche macroscopiche e microscopipiche, la presenza e successivo isolamento di microrganismi ed infine l’identificazione morfologica e biochimica degli stessi. I risultati hanno mostrato caratteri totalmente sovrapponibili alla specie Actinobacillus lignieresii
