Fraseologia della lingua cinese

Abstract

Fraseologia non è un termine della linguistica tradizionale cinese ma probabilmente, come evidenziato da Sun Weizhang (1989), un calco dal russo Фразеология o dall’inglese phraseology. Nello studio della linguistica cinese non c’era, una volta, una chiara e distinta opinione, ma c’erano termini diversi per definire questa categoria di locuzioni. Il primo passo è stato quello di capire come tradurre accuratamente il termine ‘fraseologia’ in cinese. Sono state reperite due autorevoli fonti cinesi (Sun Weizhang 1989 e Yao Xiyuan 2013), ed entrambe utilizzano un unico termine per descrivere il concetto di fraseologia: shuyuxue熟语学. Per i linguisti cinesi, la fraseologia comprende frasi idiomatiche (chengyu成语), retaggio dell’antica cultura letteraria, frasi fatte (guanyongyu惯用语), locuzioni allegoriche con sottinteso (xiehouyu 歇后语), proverbi (yanyu谚语) e aforismi (geyan格言). L’analisi punta a evidenziare le difficoltà riscontrate nel definire e collocare i fraseologismi italiani, relativi ai campi semantici dei saluti e dei piaceri della tavola, nel contesto della tradizione linguistica cinese, attraverso strategie traduttive e riferimenti a tradizioni popolari.
