A case of cutaneous myiasis caused by larvae of Dermatobia hominis in a 39-year-old man is described. The infestation appeared during a trip to Peru and was characterized by an erythematous nodule localized on the right cheek. The nodule presented with a tiny central ulcer, from which a serous- hemorrhagic liquid was discharged. The incision of the lesion under local anesthesia allowed the discharge of two non-vital larvae at the 3(rd) stage.
