Le zigomicosi sono infezioni fungine invasive gravi ad evoluzione fatale nell’ospite immunocompromesso. La diagnosi convenzionale è resa spesso difficoltosa dall’impossibilità di ottenere prelievi o campioni bioptici significativi. La diagnosi molecolare potrebbe rappresentare una valida alternativa.
