In Donald J. Trump’s second term, his will to further marginalize Africa by continuing a path of exploitation of its resources is undeniable. This paper analyses the recent policies that, in a sort of leghold trap strategy, proceed in the wake traced in the first mandate with greater aggressiveness, almost making the African continent a political expedient, confirming electoral promises, to maintain the consensus of voters in the awareness of constituting a model for the European right-wing establishments.
